Cultural Geography
Course ID: 1027
Cultural Geography will help encourage students to appreciate the diversity of cultures in the world and help them to understand how cultures grow and develop. Students will study the seven continents and the people who live on them so that they can begin to understand the different nations and their cultures. Students will begin with some basics- terminology, landforms, physical geography, climate and then they will “travel” the world via continental areas looking at geography and culture and often making connections to historical events. Students will complete weekly reading and review questions, chapter map and information quizzes, read primary source documents, evaluate maps and graphs and complete projects including interest reports from different sections of the world.
