Algebra I Honors

Algebra 1 Honors is foundational for future high school and college math courses. This course covers topics including signed numbers, exponents, and roots; absolute value; equations and inequalities; scientific notation; unit conversions; polynomials; graphs; factoring; quadratic equations; direct and inverse variations; exponential growth; statistics; and probability.

Parent Involvement is required

  • ·Homework and Test Review: Parents are expected to check their student’s homework and tests regularly. All tests should be proctored by a parent or responsible adult to help maintain academic integrity and ensure a quiet, focused testing environment. Students are expected to dedicate at least one hour each day to their assigned coursework. Assignments must be completed neatly, with all work shown—not just final answers. Pop quizzes, as well as the midterm and final exams, will be administered in class.
