General Science
Designed for students in grades 7 and 8, this course provides a comprehensive survey of scientific disciplines intended to introduce students to the complexities of God’s creative work. The curriculum covers essential fundamental concepts, including foundational science, the rigorous application of the scientific method, the structural building blocks of chemistry, and the physical forces governing the natural world. Additionally, students will explore the basics of geology and life science.
The primary objective of this course is to establish a robust conceptual framework of Physical Science and Biology principles, ensuring a seamless transition into high school science. Complementing this academic focus, the course emphasizes applying theory through intensive, hands-on laboratory activities, fostering an engaging and collaborative environment for scientific discovery.

Textbook: Apologia Exploring Creation with General Science, 3rd Edition textbook and the accompanying Solutions Manual and Tests Book.
Notebook Requirements: Students are expected to maintain an organized notebook or a loose-leaf binder with dividers, ensuring a consistent supply of paper for note-taking and in-class assignments. This binder will serve as a comprehensive portfolio for lab reports, instructional handouts, and completed module assignments, including formal responses to "On Your Own" (OYO) questions and Study Guides.
