Study Skills & Test Readiness (ACT® / SAT® Prep)
This course is designed to help high school students build strong, lifelong study skills while also preparing them for the ACT® and SAT®. Students will learn how to study more effectively and intentionally, and how to apply those skills directly to high-stakes standardized tests and their regular schoolwork.
Throughout the course, students will develop effective strategies for time management, organization, note-taking, test preparation, and active studying. These skills are paired with targeted instruction on ACT® and SAT® fundamentals, including test structure, question types, pacing strategies, and common pitfalls.
Students will practice proven techniques such as:
Breaking down large assignments and studying efficiently for exams
Creating personalized study plans and weekly schedules
Improving focus, memory, and retention
Managing test anxiety and building confidence
Applying strategic approaches to reading, math, and grammar questions on the ACT® and SAT®
This course is ideal for students who:
Feel overwhelmed or unorganized with schoolwork
Want to improve grades and test performance

By the end of the course, students will leave with a toolkit of study strategies, a clearer understanding of standardized testing expectations, and the confidence to approach exams and academics with a structured, effective plan.
