Mindy Pierce has been a professional educator for over 26 years.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Emory University in 1987, and a Masters of Education from Georgia State University in 1994.  Since then, she has taught in elementary schools both public and private as well as homeschool programs.  In the midst of this, she also successfully homeschooled her two daughters.  Her eldest is a National Merit Scholar who is currently studying Mathematics at UCF on a full-ride scholarship (tuition plus room/board and expenses), while her youngest is pursuing a Computer Science degree at the University of Alabama in Huntsville’s Honors College on a full tuition scholarship.  Mindy has been married for 23 years to Dan, an Engineering Director at Citrix in Fort Lauderdale, and they attend Coastal Community Church in Parkland, FL.  Mindy is a bonafide expert in both high school homeschooling and the college application process, and she is looking forward to helping CEDAR families achieve their educational goals.  

 

In her free time, she enjoys eating Funyuns while watching K-dramas.
